Terms of use

These terms apply when you use the Lumio app for events, run by [company legal name, ABN] (“Lumio”, “we”). By signing in, you agree to them. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s standard licence terms apply too.

01Your account
Use an email address that’s yours, and keep access to it safe: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. One account is for one person, and you need to be at least [16].
02Hosting an event
You’re responsible for your event and what’s on it. Only invite people who’d expect to hear from you: when you invite an address that isn’t on Lumio yet, we email them on your behalf. Anyone with your event’s shareable link can join it, so share the link only with people you’d invite.
03Wishes and photos
Post only what you have the right to share. Before you post a photo of other people, make sure they’re happy for it to be on the wall, especially children. Hosts may review, hide or remove anything on their event.
04What’s not allowed
- Anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual or misleading, or content you don’t have the right to share.
- Spam, or inviting people who haven’t agreed to hear from you.
- Pretending to be someone else, or joining events you weren’t invited to.
- Scraping, overloading or interfering with Lumio, or getting around its limits.
05Your content
What you post stays yours. You let us store it and show it to the event’s host and guests, only to run Lumio. If the host allows downloads, guests can save it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
06Paid plans
Lumio is free today. [Add the terms for paid plans, payments, renewals and refunds before they launch.]
07Changes, and ending
Lumio may change as we improve it, and parts of it may be unavailable at times. You can stop using it whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we’ll tell you why where we can. If we change these terms, we’ll tell you before the change takes effect.
08Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, Lumio is provided as it is, and we’re not liable for indirect loss, or for what people post on an event. [Confirm the liability cap and wording with a lawyer.]
09The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of [New South Wales, Australia]. [Confirm.]
